KBL is committed to transparent, measurable, and responsible reporting on the environmental, social, and governance matters that are important to our employees, clients, Indigenous partners, communities, and other stakeholders.
Our annual sustainability reports provide an overview of KBL’s performance, initiatives, progress, and priorities across our Canadian operations. Reporting includes environmental performance, waste diversion and circular economy initiatives, climate and water stewardship, employee development and engagement, Indigenous participation and partnerships, community investment, safety, governance, and responsible business practices.
KBL uses annual reporting as a tool for continuous improvement. By tracking performance over time, we can better understand our impacts, identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen accountability, and communicate our progress with greater consistency and transparency. KBL’s ESG reporting is intended to provide stakeholders with meaningful information about how sustainability is integrated into our operations and long-term business strategy.

Through our network of hazardous waste transfer facilities, soil treatment facilities, recycling programs, and project­-based waste management services, KBL manages a wide range of regulated materials safely and in compliance with applicable requirements. Where possible, materials are segregated, consolidated, treated, recycled, or directed to beneficial reuse pathways instead of disposal. Metals and other recoverable materials are separated and returned to the market, reducing the need for extraction of virgin resources and transforming potential liabilities into secondary resources.
